During this week, the Interplanetary Journey team, including Astronaut Lili, has traveled to La Palma in the Canary Islands to perform Astronaut Lili's Scientific Show at the "Festivalito", the film festival of the stars, and at the closure of Astrofest.

 

The president of the "Cabildo de La Palma", Anselmo Pestana, and the Counselor of Tourism, Alicia Vannostende, attended the closing ceremony of Astrofest, which was held at the "Teatro Circo de Marte", in Santa Cruz de La Palma.

 

The event started at 11:00 am with the sound of Astronaut Lili's Spacecraft's engines, that took 150 scholars to the frontiers of our Solar System. Some families and adults were also encouraged to travel with us and had a great time learning about space with a show full of special effects that awaken the senses and imagination.

Once we where back in the Earth, all the students received an astronaut's diploma signed by Astronaut Lili. Even some adults claimed theirs after the trip.

 

Alicia Vannostende, the tourism counselor, received her diploma from the hand of Astronaut Lili and also the TV presenter of the program "Los Díaz con Ángeles" by Mírame TV Canarias. They were both excited after their trip through the Solar System.

 

The event continued with the awards ceremony of the children's drawing contest and the accreditation of new astro-entrepreneurs of the island.

 

It has been a privilege to participate in such a beautiful space event.

 

We hope to return to La Palma to continue disseminating science.
