Captain Lili and the team of Interplanetary Journey train and learn about the ISS at the Tsukuba Space Center. 01/09/2017 The team of Interplanetary Journey and our beloved Captain Lili went all over to Japan to visit the Tsukuba Space Center from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). JAXA, is involved in developing and investigating spacecrafts and rockets, it is also involved in monitoring and controlling satellites. Together with other space agencies, JAXA participates in the Space colonization, and in the study of the Solar System and the Universe that arounds us. The Tsukuba Space Center (TKSC) is the headquarters of JAXA and the core to all its projects and activities. Among many other things, in TKSC, they desing experimental equipment for the scientific Module Kibo, a Japanese laboratory currently located in the space, as part of the International Space Station (ISS). Captain Lili had the opportunity to access the module to learn about life at the ISS. Also, she recorded some great videos to explain the utilities of Kibo and show it to us from the inside. Also, astronauts are trained at the Tsukuba Space Center, and Lili learned some trainings to use them with new little astronauts that are willing to join her. If you pass by Japan, you should definitely pay TKSC a visit, its perfect for young and adult space-lovers. In the visitors centre you will see 1:1 scale satelites, and the Kibo module.
